Manchester : Dr. Rubina Shah MBE, the first British citizen of Pakistani origin, was awarded the Commander of the British Empire (Dame) honor for her services to the community. She has also previously held the positions of High Sheriff Greater Manchester Deputy Lieutenant. Today she received another honor as her statue was unveiled at Manchester Central Library, which was attended by the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Barnum, the Lord Mayor. Manchester Dona Loadfold-Iraq Consul General Jawad Al-Jubouri, Dean of Manchester Roger, Deputy Lieutenant in Greater Manchester Diane Hawkins, Deputy Mayor of Stockport Council Linda, Deputy Leader Lutfar Rahman attended.
