Turbat, (Parliament Times) : A cooperation agreement was signed between Pakistan Biological Safety Association (PBSA) and University of Turbat (UoT) at UoT in order to promote academic and scientific & biological research activities in the region.
Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Pro Vice Chancellor UoT, and Prof. Dr. Saeed Khan, President PBSA
signed the agreement during a two days’ workshop on biosafety and biosecurity practices,
which was jointly organized by UoT and BPSA previous days at UoT.
According to the document, both institutes agreed to jointly conduct biosafety and biosecurity
training workshop in the Makran region. Under the MoU, the PBSA will facilitate and provide
opportunity to UoT’s faculty members for participating in training programs regarding
International Federation for Biosafety Association (IFBA) certification exam. Ganguzar Baloch,
UoT’s Registrar, Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman, Dean Faculty of Science and Engineering, Ijaz
Ahmed, Director Linkages, Dr. Niamatullah Kakar, Chairman Natural and Basic Sciences
Department, BPSA team members and faculty members and administrative were also present on
the occasion.
