FAISALABAD: Kashmir solidarity day was observed
throughout the district with national enthusiasm and determination to extend the full support for the Kashmiri people for their independence. The day was dawn with the special prayers at mosques for
the departed souls of martyrs of Kashmir. Various programs and event
were held to show the solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren by the
citizens of Faisalabad. Different political, religious, social,
traders and other organizations held seminars, walks, rallies,
conferences and other programs to highlight the Kashmir issue and to
condemn the aggressions of Indian forces at held Kashmir. Under the arrangements of District Administration a Kashmir
solidarity rally was arranged which was started from Faisalabad Arts Council and culminated at Iqbal Stadium chowk. Divisional Commissioner Silwat Saeed, Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh, Additional Commissioner (R) Tariw Khan Niazi, ADCG Faisal Sultan, ACs Muhammad Umar Maqbool, Waqas Safdar Sikandri CEO Education Iftikhar Khan, memeber district peace committee Molana Riaz Ahmad Kharal, In charge DEOC Muhammad Sadiq, Muhammad Akhtar Butt, other officers of Divisional and District Administration, Students and representatives of civil society were participanted in a large number and they were carrying banners and playcards inscribed the slogans in favour of Kashmiris. Addressing the rally, Divisional Commissioner said that the Kashmir is integral part of Pakistan
and people of Pakistan have stood with the Kashmiri and moral
diplomatic support would continue for the
Kashmiris. She said Kashmiri people were struggling for the last 75
years to get freedom and they had rendered a lot of sacrifices in this
struggle. She said that the Kashmir was
the unfinished agenda of partition plan under which Pakistan India
emerged as independent state in 1947. She expressed her gratitude for
holding successfully Kashmir Solidarity evens by the organizers
in which all segments of the society had been participated which
showed exemplary unity among the Pakistani nation on Kashmir issue. Commissioner
said that the right of the self determination should be given to the
people of occupied Kashmir to decide their fate on their own will.
She said that the independence was the right of occupied Kashmiri
people and the hearts of Pakistani people were beating with the
Kashmiri brethren. Deputy Commissioner said we were reiterating our commitment that
Pakistani nation would continue moral and diplomatic support of held
Kashmiris. DC informed that under the arrangements of district
administration various programes were held to highlight the Kashmir
issue in the district. A Prayer was also offered for the freedom of held Kashmir. Meanwhile a Kashmir Solidarity seminar was held at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium under the arrangements of District Administration. The students of different institutions presented tableaus inscribed the situation in held kashmir.
Divisional Commissioner said that the entire nation
of Pakistan was stood united on Kashmir issue and Kashmiri people
would be supported in their struggle of independence. She thanked the
participants for attending the Kashmir Solidarity events to show
unity and solidarity with the Kashmiri people. Other speakers expressed solidarity
with the Kashmiri peoples and stressed upon UNO for implementing the
resolutions of self determination. They said that full support would
continue with Kashmiri brethren for their freedom. Earlier Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner hoisted flags of Pakistan and Occupied Kashmir and photo exhibition was also inaugurate. Kashmir Solidarity Rallies were also held at Tehsil Jaranwala, Sammundri, Tandlianwala and Chak Jhumra which were led by Assistant Commissioners. participants said that the sun of kashmiri independence would rise very soon. They offered prayer for independence of Kashmir.
