Quetta, (Parliament Times) : The day of determination of Kashmiri people for independence and right of self-determination. Tomorrow, 5th of February, Pakistani and Kashmiri people will celebrate Kashmir Solidarity Day with traditional enthusiasm. The peace of the region is connected with Kashmir and according to the resolutions of the United Nations, the Kashmir issue should be resolved. These views were expressed by Senator Samina. Mumtaz Zahri was speaking at an event organized on February 5 Kashmir Solidarity Day regarding the preparation of solidarity events with the oppressed Kashmiris.
She said that the struggle for complete independence from Indian domination will be continued for Kashmir in any case. To implement the resolution approved by the United Nations Security Council in favor of the Kashmiri people, in which the right to give the Kashmiris the opportunity to decide their own future through a referendum supervised by the United Nations was recognized. She said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to remind the international community that seven decades despite the passage of more than a year, the United Nations resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir have not been implemented. She said that February 5 is the day of determination of the Kashmiri people’s struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination. The international community should make serious efforts to resolve the Kashmir dispute. Indian conspiracies and tactics to crush the struggle for self-determination of Kashmiris have failed; the cases of extrajudicial killings in Occupied Kashmir have increased to an alarming extent. She said that the Indian occupying forces are martyring innocent Kashmiri youth in so-called search operations and false encounters. The people of Occupied Kashmir are resisting every conspiracy of India.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri further said that Pakistan has always exposed all the brutal actions of India and will continue to expose Indian atrocities against Kashmiris to the world. The people of Occupied Kashmir will continue to struggle until the right to self-determination is achieved. The Kashmiri people will not back down from their right to self-determination under any circumstances. Pakistan has raised the voice of Kashmiris in every forum of the world. The world is well aware that Kashmir is a big dispute between India and Pakistan which needs to be resolved. If it is not done, this problem can engulf the entire region. This resolution was unanimously approved by the United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan. Even after 75 years have passed, the resolutions of the United Nations have not been implemented.
She said that the Indian government is using the military establishment, intelligence agencies RAW, IB and NIA to subjugate the innocent Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir. The situation in Occupied Kashmir is very serious; Kashmiris are still being subjected to the worst state terrorism by the Indian occupying forces. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri called on the United Nations and human rights organizations to resolve the Kashmir dispute. The resolutions of the Security Council should be implemented and the Kashmiris should be freed from Indian oppression and tyranny, otherwise the fire spreading from the burning Kashmir may engulf the entire region.
