Muzaffarabad/ MIRPURÂ (AJK), (Parliament Times) : President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry was given a detailed briefing by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Azad Kashmir at the President’s Office in Muzaffarabad.
On this occasion, the President was apprised of the aims and objectives, infrastructure, ongoing projects and challenges of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Azad Kashmir. Minister Elementary and Secondary Education Dewan Ali Chaghatai, Secretary Razzak Nadeem, Special Secretary Qazi Inayat, Nazim-Ala Elementary and Secondary Education (Male) Syed Talib Hussain Shah, Nazim-Ala Elementary and Secondary Education (Female) Taslim Gul, Project Director Islamic Development Bank, Chairman Textbook Board and others were present in the meeting.Speaking on the occasion the AJK President stated that the government would cooperate at all levels to improve the quality of education.He said that difficulties faced by educational institutions would be addressed on priority basis. “Besides construction of buildings, providing provision of basic facilities to educational institutions and enhancing administrative expenses for the educational institutions in the budget will be ensured”, the president said. The president stressed the need for arranging training workshops for teachers, which he said would increase the productivity and quality of education. He issued instructions to speed up their efforts vis a vis the Islamic Development Bank project for out-of-school children so that the children who were not in schools due to lack of resources could be able to get education. Barrister Chaudhry said that the government would lend it’s full cooperation at all levels to promote quality education in Azad Kashmir so that students can get quality higher education.
