Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : Azad Jammu and Kashmir Accountability Bureau has revealed another major action against corrupt elements. On the special instructions of Chairman Accountability Bureau, Sardar Naeem Ahmed Shiraz, the investigation team has arrested Mr. Muzaffar Mehmood Khan, a senior clerk of the Electronics Department, resident of Kafalgarh Bagh and has closed in the Thori Muzaffarabad police station.
The accused pretended to be the senior minister (now) the private secretary of the current prime minister and took bribes of lakhs of rupees from the citizens by pretending to give jobs to his close relatives. The Prime Minister’s Office had expressed indifference to the man and his actions.
According to the sources, more important revelations are expected from the accused during the investigation. It should be remembered that a few days ago, Tariq Pervez, cashier of the Public Works Department, involved in the multi-crore mega bank scandal case, has been arrested by the Accountability Bureau. Reference will be filed in court.
The action taken by the Accountability Bureau against the corrupt elements in recent days is being widely appreciated by the civil society and people of different schools of thought and it is expected that the Accountability Bureau will do more against corruption. Effective measures will continue.
