FAISALABAD: The non-functional state-of-the-art school building constructed by the Kalash group at the cost of 25 million has been made functional and 216 students of the non-formal basic education center already established in chaks have been transferred to the new school.
The Divisional Commissioner, Muhammad Shahid Niaz and Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh along with Chairman Kalash Group Muhammad Shafiq and Director Farrukh Zaman shifted the students up to the middle level and the children of primary section from the old dilapidated building of the school to the new building through buses. They also sampled the plant in the school’s green garden and formally inaugurated the school building, checked the educational facilities available in the classrooms and also distributed warm hoods to the children for winter.
Assistant Commissioner Sadar Muhammad Umar Maqbool, CEO Education Iftikhar Khan, In-charge District Emergency Operational Center Muhammad Sadiq, District Officer Literacy Naveed ul Haque, Head Teacher Institution Madam Sidra, other officers of the District Education Authority, students and the parents of the children were also present. The Divisional Commissioner appreciated the revolutionary initiative of the Deputy Commissioner for utilizing the new building of the school and thanked the Kalash group for constructing a new building for the provision of education up to middle level for the girls of Chaks.
He said that it was a pleasure to see the boys and girls shifting to big schools today and the philanthropists of Faisalabad have always been in the forefront for the public service and welfare work. He praised the high quality classrooms and asked the teachers that they should continue training with quality education of female students wholeheartedly. He said that this school will also get high status soon. The Deputy Commissioner said that this is memorable day of his service that the new building is utilizing for education and this new school have 10 rooms.
While thanking the Kalash group for their support, he said that the philanthropists of Faisalabad are topper in providing resources in education, health and other fields. He asked CEO Education to visit the school continuously and provide the best teaching environment. The Deputy Commissioner thanked the Commissioner for participating in the event. On this occasion, the enthusiasm of the children of the primary section and the girls students up to the middle level was visible, while the parents of the children appreciated the historic initiative of the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and said that the Kalash group by constructing a new building, the girls of the local residents have provided quality education facilities.
