A judgemental society we as a “homo sapiens” inhabit in. That’s also an intolerant at all~ We, as a society always has been experienced failure to understand a fundamental thing—acceptance. It’s all because of lack of (1) emotional intelligence (2) rationality in thought, (3) tolerance in difference of opinion and (4) unbiased approach in outlook and behavior, also (5) paucity of understanding the chemistry of life one is confronting with. Over and above, psychologically, we are still stuck in the bottomless chasm of late 19th and early 20th century, instead of being moved ahead in 21st—the age of information technology. A judgemental and intolerant society has factors mentioned above, which have morphed humans psychology, from modernistic into antiquated, evolving an intolerant and judgemental society. In the era of 21st century, while the world has advanced technologically, we are still struggling with social problems. We are all facing dearth of fundamental capacity of acceptance. We enviously don’t accept each other. We do rather judge than to accept. We judge people by their looks, by their personality, by the way they talk, by the way they act. We judge people by any flaw we can find. We by all means look forward to seeking for an opportunity, one way or another— to judge people. We, as a society are conservative, in behavior and ideology. We aren’t free and open to receiving acceptance, either. We close ourselves off to other people that are different than we are. Rather than trying to learn to open hearts freely and accept people, we judge them. With the objective of judging others, people derive nothing satisfying but gloomy, agony, depression, unsatisfactory in their life. Before going straight to the concluding para, i would like to quote “one of the most renowned psychiatrist and psychoanalysts”, Carl Jung who once truly said, “We can only see in others what we have inside ourselves. First, we reject, then we project, holds unduly true in our society. To cut a long story short, to develop a society which ensures peace and prosperity, harmony and sanity, people must accept each other, respect differing opinions, thoughts, ideas, personality, behavior, attitude etc. And also must develop rational and critical thinking that lacks the most in our society, leading to intolerance amd judgement. Always be optimistic, even in a negative circumstances. And also be critical and not judgemental and pessimist.
