ISLAMABAD, (Raja Furqan Ahmed) : The Launching Ceremony of “Defense in Depth”, a book on cyber security was held at Marriott Hotel Islamabad. According to the details, Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, Dr Atif Ali and Muhammad Qasim are the authors of the book. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for MoFE&PT graced the launching ceremony as Chief Guest. Addressing the Ceremony, The Minister said that, “It is a need of the hour to adopt modern technologies, secure IT infrastructure and initiate campaigns regarding the awareness of Cyber Security. The publication of the book on cyber security is a step to achieve this goal and I really appreciate the efforts of Dr Mallah and his co-authors for gifting the nation this state-of-the-art book, which is worth reading and targets all communities and also covers all the aspects of Cyber Security. Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, author of the book while explaining salient features of the book said that, “the book covers all aspects of cyber security. If a reader has basic computer knowledge, he will get a fair idea of what cyber security is, what the threats are in the cyber world, and the basics of hacking. This book also covers blockchain technology, network security, incident response, and forensics procedures.” The launching ceremony was attended by representatives of HEC, PSF, NBF, IBCC, NUST, IIUI, AIOU, QAU, VC Women University Rawalpindi, VC Kohsar University, NSU, COMSATS, Army Public Schools System, FDE, FBISE, Cambridge, Pearson, PEIRA, FBR, Security & Intelligence Agencies, Accountability Lab, NCC, NAVTTC, etc. At the end of the ceremony, the authors presented the book to the Honorable chief guest Rana Tanveer Hussain.
