Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmed Bhat while appreciating Global Bodies and rights groups who asked for release of Kashmiri HRD Khurram Parvez, said that Modi led BJP govt of India is using all illicit means to silence Kashmiris vis a vis arresting and torturing HR defenders and Media persons.
While Freedom of Speech and expression is advocated all over the world, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir Journalists and Human Rights activists are haunted through fake charges, lawless draconian laws and arbitrary detentions. Chairman Bhat added.
Chairman JkSM Bhat further added that Kahsmiris have suffered the worst in last 75 years, but after revoking article 370 & 35A in 2019 Modi led BJP govt of India unleashed reign of terror on Kashmiris, punishing them for their just demand of right to self determination guaranteed by UN resolutions.
Altaf Ahmed Bhat retierated that While rights bodies and global Organisations have asked India to release Khurram Parvez, dozens of hurriyat leaders : Massarat Alam Bhat, Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Zaffar Akbar Bhat Asiya Andrabi, Fehmida Soofi and others aare languishing in different jails of India for raising voice of freedom and right to self determination.
Chairman JKSM Altaf Ahmed Bhat called on Intl organizations UN, OIC, EU and rights bodies to force India to stop its inhumane and grave HR violations in IIOJ&K, demilitarize Kashmir and start the process of plebiscite
