Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times): Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, has directed that the OPD of Cardiac Hospital Muzaffarabad should be made operational within 60 days.“Cardiac surgeons and other professional staff should be appointed immediately on a 24/7 basis, and incinerator should be installed for the disposal of waste material originating from the hospital”, the Prime minister said this while visiting the health care facility near Bank Road Muzaffarabad today.During the inspection the PM said that elevators should be installed in the hospital for the convenience of the patients. The Prime Minister instructed the Public Health Secretary to re-evaluate the allocation of wards in terms of the sensitivity of the cardiac hospital and the convenience of the patients.

“In case of non-availability of professional human resources, professional staff from other provinces should be taken on contract basis”, he said.In order to protect patients from noise pollution, he said, the hospital should be made soundproof. He said that proper arrangements should be made to filter the water supplied to the hospital.The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir directed that one more cath lab machine should be purchased as a backup and the hospital Electricity backup should also be arranged according to the need.He directed that special arrangements should be made for quality equipment, machinery, furniture and safe disposal of bed linen. The Prime Minister directed that if possible, a counter should be made in an area of the entrance and wheelchair and stretcher facilities should be kept in mind for the patients and their families coming to the hospital.
