“Frailty, thy name is woman”; however, it no longer exists. Frailty is no longer the name of a woman. Women are no more beautiful souls; instead, they are worriers. They have been fighting wars alongside male counterpart. They are no more the back-benchers in the field of war. They are not only who love, who care for, who bore children, who do home chores; albeit, they are for taking liberty, for killing their foe, and for joining the armed forces. YPJ, Kurdish Women’s Protection Unit provided the ground and they fill it as a volunteer without any hesitation. They freed Kobani after a siege of about four months in 2014. They appeared in the magazines and newspapers with the titles of “Angels of Kobani” and “Badass”. And one of them was Rehana, a female fighter who supposedly has killed more than 100 ISIS fighters. Similarly, they joined ISIS on the invitation of ISIS-commander. Whatever the reason may be; the migrants to ISIS are mainly from European countries. According to ICSR report, about 4000 people migrated to ISIS and 550 were women among those migrants. A Canadian female migrant who is known by the name L.A took part in a physical combat. She is also the very first documented case a women fighting on frontlines with ISIS. Although, it is considered that women lack ‘the killer instinct’ yet the active participation of female fighters in wars is not limited only to YPJ and ISIS. However, statistically, according to a report by CNN in 2013 and Pentagon, the numbers of women who are in active duty military of US are more than 200,000. In World War II, 8,000,000 Russian women took part in the battle as active military members. In our books, women are shown as fragile and docile creature. There gender is socially constructed weakly almost by men members of a society. Men needed women and according to their need they manipulated their gender. Man made the woman dependent on him psychologically and economically in order to use her. But, it all belongs to the past. Woman is no more ‘frailty’. Neither she is dependent psychologically nor economically on man. If a man can be a doctor; woman is. If a man can be a teacher; woman is. If a man can be a politician; woman is. If a man can be an army officer; woman is. And now, if a man can be a fighter, a warrior; woman is a fighter and a warrior. “it is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife”, if it was an irony; it is reality now.
