QUETTA, (Parliament Times) : Meeting of the Executive Body of Balochistan Editors Council – New media policy and problems faced by the newspapers and journals of the province. Appointing Kamran Asad as DGPR is welcomed – Best wishes are expressed. The meeting of the executive body of Balochistan Editors Council was held last day under the chairmanship of President Major (Rtd) Nazer Zumard. In the meeting, the implementation of the new proposed media policy was considered and it was decided that the organization will inform the information secretary, DGPR and other concerned authorities in writing about the reservations on the media policy. The participants of the meeting welcomed the appointment of Kamran Asad, the senior officer of the Information Department as DGPR, saying that the appointment of the senior officer of the Information Department is expected to reduce the problems of the newspapers of the province and especially the department. It was decided that the problems faced by the newspapers and journals of the province will be met with the DGPR and the Information Secretary and they will be informed. They will play their full role in solving it as a priority.
