    The teacher’s significant role, unique services highlighted on ‘Teachers’ Day

    ZHOB [Parliament Times]:  Various programs were organized at educational institutions both in Zhob and neighboring district Sherani to mark the Teachers’ Day here. The events were attended by teachers and students in a large number. Those who attended the Girls’ school event were including District Education Officer Lal Jan Musakhail, District Officer Education Sheikh Musa Khan Mandokhail, Divisional Deputy Director Abdul Latif Mandokhail, System Analyst Dawood Uyghur, officials at the Divisional Directorate Asif Rajpoot, Shaista Khan Mandokhail, DDOs Ajab Khan Kakar, Akber Jan Kakar, Divisional President Government Teachers Association Ayoub Mandokhail, President GTA Zhob Fateh Khan Mandokhail, journalist Rafiullah Mandokhail, headmistresses, teaching staff and students in a large number.

    On one such occasion observed at the Government Girls’ City high school, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ramzan Palal, District Education Officer Lal Jan Musakhail and President Government Teachers’ Association Fateh Khan Mandokhail underlined the importance of teachers and the significant role they play in character building of societies.

    Speaking on the occasion, the speakers highlighted the importance of teachers in transforming societies and creating an impact on their students. They said the Day has been commemorated for two decades, when it was announced by UNESCO around the globe. The main objective of ‘Salam Teachers’ Day’ was to highlight the unique services and vital contribution of the teachers to the society. They said. ‘Marking the day is aimed at highlighting teachers’ role and importance of their auspicious profession. Education has now become an integral part of a country’s socioeconomic development, hence the teacher’s role needs to be understood in this context,’ they said.

    ‘Salam Teachers’ Day was to pay respect and tribute to the teachers for their selfless role in nation building’, adding that the entire society revolves around the teacher. Keeping in view the government should pay special attention and make efforts to keep teachers motivated and devoted to their profession. They demanded.    It is to be mentioned that ‘Salaam Teachers’ Day’ is observed on October 5th every year. The day has been celebrated since 1994, as proclaimed to recognize the teaching profession and raise public awareness about the vital contribution of teachers in the society.

    Meanwhile, a speech competition on ‘Anti-corruption’ was also held among the students and prizes were distributed among the top winning students. Moreover, appreciation certificates were also distributed among the teachers for their services towards education.
