FAISALABAD: The district administration has started to shift the passengers spending night on footpaths into Shelter Home through Free Shuttle Service and serving them dinner with respect. The Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh reached the footpaths and green belts of the city including chowk clock tower and respectfully transferred the passengers to shelter homes for staying at night and provided quality food facilities under his supervision. Assistant Commissioners Sahibzada Muhammad Yusuf, Muhammad Umar Maqbool and Administrator Futs Muhammad Rahat were also present.
The Deputy Commissioner also over viewed the arrangements to accommodate the passengers in the shelter homes and asked the established of General Bus Stand and City Terminal to provide the best facilities to the shelter less people. He said that Faisalabad is a textile Hub and people used to be there for travel and labor and due to economic problems they could not travel from one place to another, therefore they slept on the footpaths at night. He said that the shuttle service will also work to reach them on workplace in the morning.
The Deputy Commissioner said that public service initiatives will be continued uninterrupted.On this occasion, passengers reached at Panagha and took facilities & thanked the Deputy Commissioner for this valuable step.
