Naseebullah Khan
When he was in power every thing was fair. When he was enjoying red carpeted protocols, he did not even tired by repeating the mantra that all were on the same page. When he was at the helm of might, he had zipped his lips on foreign conspiracies. When he was pledging the IMF for bailout, it was a necessity for the economy of the state. Once he was overthrown by a move of no confidence, everything, neither the establishment, nor the judiciary, the IMF, and foreign countries have been right as per him whims. At a time when the whole world was against the Russian aggressive moves against Ukraine, the populist psychopath was visiting Russia. When he was ousted, he asserted that Russia was ready to provide oil to Pakistan on 40 percent cheaper prices then the world. This claim was thrown to dustbin when the Russian ambassador to Pakistan denied any such talks between the two countries. A further blow to this false claim (that main aim was to build an anti American narrative) was the rejection of his claims by the experts who said that Pakistan does not have the facility to refine Russian Oil.The Cypher controversy was the main point of his narrative. At a time when the country was at the verge of bankruptcy, the political parties had decided to get rid of this government. The blow to Mr. Khan government was further cemented when the establishment announced its neutrality. That was a perfect time for the vote of no confidence as the allies of the PTI itself had parted their ways as a result, Mr. Khan was shown the way to home. When Mr. Khan was asured of his removal, he started to pay a ground for narrative building against the USA on the false pretext of a Cypher in which he was succeeded too. That controversy was declared null and void by the national security committee, the ambassador himself who had written the cypher, and the supreme court of the country. After building an anti__American narrative, Mr. Khan ought to stand on his stance. After creating hatred against the US, the PTI received 36 ambulances as aid from the same US ambassador in Pakistan. Lo and behold, the PTI has also acquired the services of a public relations company in America for the purpose to enhance friendly relation of the party with America. The shamelessness of the PTI continues. The government of the KPK has written a letter to the IMF that they will not be bound to abide by the agreement which the organization is going to sign with the federal government of Pakistan. This letter was written at a time when the IMF is going to release a tranche in a week. Is this not the negation of the PTI,s own policy which it had taken in 2019 by signing an agreement of 6 billion dollars bailout package from the IMF? This stubborn and immetuer politics lacks forsightedness and shows hypocrisy on the part of the PTI and its chairman who wants to remain glow himself with power corridors by hook and by crook. What come may, whether the County is plunhed into choas, abusive culture, naming and shaming the institutions, and giving blow to foreign relations with friendly countries_ the PTI and its Chairman donot care. Piteously, the suferors are the people of Pakistan and the country itself. The Mulish politics will lead Pakistan to no where. In the enmity of eachother and in the tug of war for the malacious goal of availing power at any cost__ the PTI and its chairman should should saneness and maturity. Politics has never been about getting power and self interests at any cost. It is high time to end egoism and let the democracy evolve through democratic means. Disgracing the institutions and bypassing the parliament alongside the basic norms of democracy will ultimately dent the PTI in future politics.
