No doubt the establishment of sweet homeland Pakistan was not less than a miracle and is a gift and blessing of God for the dejected Muslims of the subcontinent. Obviously, our forefathers and elders got a separate sovereign and independent state by means of myriad sacrifices and toll of previous and innocent lives. This day reminds us about the pivotal role and contribution of our national heroes, who put their heart and soul to get rid of the dominant foreign exploiting British forces. Before independence the Muslims were step-motherly as well as ill-treated and faced social, religious and moral degradation in Hindu dominant society. It was the result of Quaid-e- Azam’s charismatic and dynamic leadership and his team work who day and night fought the case of Indian Muslims before world community. In letter and spirit the foundation of freedom movement was laid in the year 1906 under the umbrella of a separate political party called All India Muslim League (AIML). How can one express the obstacles and challenges which were witnessed by our forefathers and elders to achieve a new independent and sovereign state for the dejected, suppressed and oppressed Muslims of subcontinent? The way in which our freedom movement leaders lead the struggle for creation of new Muslim state within united India is commendable and one of the appreciable task. Since achievement of freedom in 1947 onwards every year the day of 14th August reminds us to pay glowing tribute to martyrs of independence struggle who sacrificed their precious lives but paved the way to achieve the right of self-determination for future generations. It was auspicious and meritorious day of Friday 27th of holy month of Ramadan and 14th August 1947 the day broke with the famous slogan of “Pakistan Zindahabad.” The sun of 14th August brought a wave of happiness and stretched its rays of freedom over the downtrodden people of subcontinent. The clouds of pleasure were looming large and hovering and showering blessings of freedom horizontally and vertically on the Muslims. On the other hand the whole nation was celebrating the fruit and festivities of independence with full zeal, zest and fervour of patriotism. The Muslims strongly believe that the love of motherland is the part of belief. Young, old, women and children were excited enough to hear the good news that ultimately we got our goal and fulfilled the dream of dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Every time 14th August is very special to all of us but this year its so special on account of 75 years age of Pakistan termed as “Diamond Jubilee.” On the eve of 75 years Diamond Jubilee Independence the day of Sunday 14th August dawned with special prayers in mosques, churches, temples and other sacred places for peace, solidarity and prosperity of the country. Gun salutes and sirens were also held in the federal capital and all provincial capitals and the national flag was hoisted on all the important govt buildings. Special programs were broadcast on TV to highlight the incalculable services rendered by our freedom movement heroes and the hustle and bustle, jubilation and excitement of Pakistani nation can not be expressed in words. Today if we want to see Pakistan great and strong in a real way then we should take sincere stern measures and collectively have to fight against mass curruption, racism, nepotism, favouritism, terrorism, extremism, sectarianism and egotism at all levels. Though ours is an atomic power state nevertheless majority of the people can’t earn two times livelihood and live below the poverty line in plight conditions. Let’s today every individual make a pledge and try his level the best to make Pakistan prosperous, fulfledged, self-sufficient, sovereign and enlightened welfare state in the world in the perspective of the historic, didactic and visionary words of the Father of nation Quaid-e-Azam, “Unity, Faith and Discipline.”
