Lahore : Honorary Consul General of Tunisia Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ammad Rasheed, and Honorary Consul General of Tunisia Punjab, Mohammad Hameed called on Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman at Governor House Lahore today. During the meeting, discussion was held on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of education, trade and tourism.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that Pakistan values its relations with Tunisia and is keen to further develop cooperation with it in various fields, especially education and tourism. He said that there should be maximum exchanges between the students of the two countries so that they can benefit from each other’s experiences vis- a-vis technology. Governor Punjab said that there is also a need to strengthen people-to-people contacts between Tunisia and Pakistan. He said that the export of olives can be increased with the cooperation of Tunisia.
Honorary Consul General of Tunisia from KPK Ammad Rasheed said that there are wide opportunities for Pakistani businessmen to export olives and other products in Tunisia. He said that Pakistan is a member of the International Olive Council.
Honorary Consul General of Tunisia from Punjab Mohammad Hameed said that Tunisia cultivates olives on a large scale. The consul general of Tunisia also presented a commemorative shield of the consulate to Governor Punjab on this occasion.
