Pakistani security departments has once again gained a splendid success by arresting the “mastermind” and “facilitator” of a suicide attack outside the Confucious Institute at the Karachi University in which three Chinese nationals were killed. The enemies of two great nations Pakistan and China have once again targeted the soul of relationship in a very vicious attack in the month of April that has claimed the precious lives of Chinese and Pakistani citizen. The responsibility of attack in Karachi University on Chinese teachers taken by Baluchistan Liberation Army (BLA) shows that this banned militant group is a part of harmful activities against the widened Sino-Pak relationship and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The united stance of two nations in fighting the wrath of terrorism together just to defeat these militant elements shows that our relationship is higher than Himalayas, stronger than steel and sweeter than honey. The cowardice attack by one of the notorious banned militant organization BLA have been widely condemned by all the sectors of society and the government of Pakistan. The resolve of the Pakistani government led by Prime Minister Shehabaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan shows that these elements who are enemy of the relationship and development process will always be dealt with the full force and crush forever. Condemning the incident, Shahbaz Sharif visited the Chinese embassy in Islamabad and expressed Pakistan’s determination to eradicate all forms of terrorism and terrorists from its soil. Chinese embassy in Islamabad strongly condemned the terrorist attack inside university. “The Embassy and Consulates General of China in Pakistan express deep condolences to the victims from both countries and sincere sympathy to the injured and the bereaved families, and will make every effort to handle the incident with the Pakistani side,” the statement said. The Chinese foreign office spokesperson Hua Chunying said that the Chinese minister expressed “grave concern” over incident during the call and demanded that Pakistan conducted a thorough probe immediately. The minister further demanded that the perpetrators of the attack should be apprehended and punished to full extent of the law and all possible measures be taken to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in Pakistan so that such incidents were prevented in the future. These militants are the misguided elements by the foreign forces especially the Indians who have always tried to hit the relationship between China and Pakistan and they want to hit the great development process going on in Pakistan under china Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) that is the flagship project of Belt and Road Initiative. In the past, militants have also tried to hit Chinese citizens and development projects being constructed by the Chinese side and the Pakistani government have always showed the resolve to prosecute these criminal elements. The actions taken by Pakistan law and enforcement agencies have always proved fruitful in snubbing these criminal elements and have hit many of the leading commanders of this militant organization. If we put an eye regarding the attacks on Chinese citizens than we get to know some of the disturbing record but the commitment of Pakistani security agencies have always proved successful in snubbing these groups and Pakistan have spare no effort to fight against terrorism and ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions in the country. The security agencies have also carried forward the successful military operations against this militant organization so that the required peaceful environment for the smooth development process of CPEC could be managed on durable basis. CPEC that have successfully been changing the dynamics of economic landscape in Pakistan have attracted more billions of dollar investment in its first phase by building the power projects that tackled the energy crisis in the country and improved the infrastructural development. The Pakistani nation unitedly has always appreciated the sustainable development carrying forward with the mutual and meaningful consultation between Chinese and Pakistani government. China has always stood ready to work with Pakistan to facilitate exchanges at all levels, enrich and expand practical cooperation, build CPEC toward the sustainable, livelihood-oriented and high-standard objectives, and accelerate the building of a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era to benefit the two countries and their peoples. BRI projects under CPEC have benefited the Pakistani people through job creation, improving livelihoods, eradicating poverty and upgrading remote areas. Infrastructure development and energy upgrades have helped change the economic, social and industrial landscape of Pakistan. So far, more than 70,000 jobs have been created thanks to BRI cooperation that another half a million direct and indirect jobs will be created in the next five to seven years. CPEC has achieved significant milestones through joint efforts of the governments, enterprises, and people of both countries. The first phase of the CPEC, which focused on energy and infrastructure projects, met its successful completion and now the second phase is set to boost Pak-China cooperation in agriculture and initiate an era of industrialization through the establishment of Special Economic Zones. Special Economic Zone is one of the priority projects of the CPEC for the provincial government because it will strengthen industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China besides enhancing trade with Central Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
