Brussels,(Parliament Times): Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU)’s Chairman Mr Ali Raza Syed has paid a glowing tribute to the great Martyr Burhan Muzaffar Wani.
In in a meeting organized by Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) in Brussels in connection with martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani, chair of the council said that martyr Wani added a new page in the ongoing freedom movement. He said, Wani was a great son of Kashmiri soil and he specially inspired the Kashmiri youth by his great innovative freedom struggle. Mr Ali Raza Syed said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not go waste. These sacrifices provided a new life to the struggle and people of Kashmir would never extract from their stance while will continue their movement till its logical end.
About the situation in Kashmir he said, the occupied valley is witnessing severe situation of human rights and a large number of political leaders and activists and human rights defenders are in the imprisonment.
Specially famous Kashmiri leader Yasin Malk and international award holder Khurram Parvez and another well known human right supporter of human right Ahsan Unto are being detained on fake charges. Ali Raza Syed asked for early release of all Kashmiri prisoners.
He said that it is clear by the people of Kashmir that they want their right of self-determination in order to have freedom from Indian occupation. Unless the people’s aspirations were addressed with sincerity, no other measures would be fruitful for the settlement of the dispute.
Mr Ali Raza Syed also warned that by killing and detaining the people and committing crimes against the humanity in the occupied Kashmir, the Indian regime cannot stop the peaceful movement of the Kashmiris.
He also denounced Indian atrocities against the people of Kashmir including extra judicial killings and detention of a number of leaders in the occupied valley. Chairman Kashmir Council EU also demanded the world community to stop atrocities against the innocent and peaceful people of Kashmir and play its role for a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue.
