Through the column of your prestigious newspaper, I would like to share an event from which I recently came across while going to university. An ambulance was carrying a pregnant woman with the condition to reach the hospital urgently. The ambulance drivers speeding to hospitals blaring horns and clearing the way suddenly fall into a large hole . Due to the poor condition of roads, Traffic congestion was another challenge, the repairment of situation take lots of time to life saving emergency service to reach hospital that result as the loss of a little life. Poor and damaged roads seem to have become the biggest roadblock for emergency services. This situation becomes worse in monsoons when many people get injured and have accidents due to the worn-out roads. It is the responsibility of the government to provide the basic facilities like clean, good roads and safe environment for citizens but no concrete action has been taken. This issue needs to be addressed urgently before it shapes into evil.
