FAISALABAD : Sellers and Purchasers of sacrificial animals shall be facilitated regarding the forthcoming Eid- ul- Azha , said DC in a meeting today.
The district administration has notified 10 sites for establishing temporary Cattle market/sale points outside the City areas in the district for
the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals which would be made functional from at least 10-days before Eid.
According to the notification issued
in this regard, the temporary cattle markets
would be set up at Model cattle market
Niamuana Samundri road in city area, Chak 241/ RB Chanchal Singh wala Jhang road, Bypass Chak No.239/ RB Khanuana Satyana road, chak 195/ RB Jandanwala in Sadar Tehsil, Chak 126/ GB near Sheruana pull, chak 194/RB near UET Campus Khurrinwala Makuana Bypass Jaranwala, site adjacent to New Grain Market Faisalabad road Samundri, Chak 423 G.B opposite Punjab College Satiana road Tandlianwala, Bangla chowk Bakar mondi Mamukanjan and Sports Stadium Chak #187/ RB Jhumra Faisalabad road Chak Jhumra. The necessary facilities would be provided by the concerned departments to ease the sellers and purchasers of sacrificial animals.
The Deputy Commissioner Lt. (R) Sohail Ashraf chairs a meeting where he clarified that no fees of any kind would be charged for the entry or sale of the sacrificial animals except model cattle market and the role of middlemen would be discouraged to avoid exploitation. He said further adding that the concerned ACs has been assigned their duties to monitor and supervise
the arrangement in temporary cattle markets of sacrificial animals.
He directed the Livestock department officials to establish Veterinary Dispensaries at cattle markets and
the cattle owners should be informed about the precautionary measures to save the sacrificial animals from the ticks, Congo virus and other epidemics diseases. He also directed the Health department to set up an improvised medical camp besides residual spray and fogging. He stressed the need, that necessary security and traffic arrangements should also be made for smooth functioning of the cattle markets. He asked the ACs to make all the arrangements before time so that cattle markets would be functional at proper time without any hurdle.
