QUETTA, (Parliament Times) : The Balochistan Editors Council has welcomed the approval of newspaper arrears by the provincial cabinet and said that incumbent Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has taken notice of the news of Balochistan Editors Council and other news organizations and helped the newspaper industry out of financial difficulties which is admirable. The present Chief Minister of Balochistan has proved to be a true and genuine democratic leader by resolving the issue of payment of dues to the newspaper industry for the last many years on a permanent basis. In particular, workers’ salaries have not been paid for the past several months, forcing workers in the newspaper industry to go on hunger strike. The Balochistan Editors Council appealed to the Chief Minister to address other issues facing the newspaper industry and said that the recommendations of the Balochistan Editors Council and other journalistic organizations should be made part of the budget so that the problems of the people associated with this industry could be reduced.
