RAWAPINDI, (Parliament Times) : The International Conference on “Cardiovascular Diseases, a Threat to National Development” organized by the Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH ) will begin today on Saturday at 9 am at the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC),Saddar ,Rawalpindi. It will continue until 4 p.m.This conference consists of 2 days,Which will end on Sunday, May 29.
The conference will be inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Riphah University Hassan Mohammad Khan, Commandant AFIC Major General Muhammad Afsheen IQbal, President Panah Major General (retd) Masood-ur-Rehman Kiani as special guests. The international conference will consist of 6 sessions.In which eminent national and international cardiologists will give very important lectures. The conference will be attended by people belonging to all schools of thought including senior members of PANAH.
In this regard, General Secretary of PANAH Sanaullah Ghumman said that a large number of international conferences on heart diseases have been organized by PANAH. The main objective of this conference is to bring together researchers, doctors, teachers, students, civil society and law and policy makers on a single platform through joint efforts. So that every institution and individual can benefit from their research and suggestions.
He said that Heart disease is a major threat to national development. Timely steps need to be taken to prevent them. PANAH is also aimed at educating the public about heart and many other deadly diseases. This conference is a very important part of this series.
