Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : General secretary Pakistan People’s Party Azad Kashmir and Member Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore in strong words condemns the sedition charges against Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik.
Rathore termed this act of Indian judiciary as immoral, illegal and an act of political vendetta against Yasin Malik that was done on the dictates of Modi led Indian Hindutva government with the aim to silence a popular voice of people’s right for freedom.
He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were fighting for their right of self-determination under the UN Charter and resolutions, while Indian regime was acting against them in most authoritarian harrowing ways to impose her neo colonial settler policy.
Rathore expressed serious concern over life of Kashmiri youth and students, on whom 3rd degree methods of torture in interrogation centres are being used by police to divulge false thing and accept guilt.
He said that it was incumbent on the United Nations to take serious notice of the matter and play its much-needed role to stop persecution of Kashmiri prisoners who were being punished for raising their voice for the voiceless Kashmiris.
