Thunk is a well-known village, which is located at Mashkay teshil, district Awaran. In addition, its population is approximately ten to fifteen thousand people. It has been underprivileged from the elementary rights since its commencement. Instead of providing basic facilities, the stakeholders including other chieftains are adding salt to injury, and further, the inhabitants are being dispossessed form their fundamental rights. A so-called dam will not only deprive inhabitants from their basic rights, but it also makes them homeless, landless and shelter less and so on. What’s more, the administrators are threatening them to migrate from their domains to go somewhere else. Nonetheless, it is extremely troublesome for them to leave their properties and homes. It is correctly argued that the prospective-dam-constructors collect as much information as possible about existence of dam before making a decision on acquiring on it. It is sorrowfully to utter that the authorities are constructing a dam, which is really cause of destruction the villagers’ properties and homes instead of benefits. The storage of large amounts of water is a hazardous activity. It needs huge area to store water, but the area is small. The government heinously has taken a worse decision. Moreover, they should obtain basic information on the dam, for instance, where it should be, how it should be. Because such types of information should be included dimensions, storage, and surface area of the impoundment, type of construction, location and period.Even if they go to another region, they cannot serve their lives because their ancestors’ manors are everything for them. In addition, the government must give money for them. Unlucky, the constructors and corrupt leaders have taken the money themselves. They have not given to the locals of that area. They said that they do not want a dam because they already have water system. The residents neither have schools, colleges, nor the health care system. The government needs to answer the aforementioned. Furthermore, a dam can be a central structure in a multipurpose scheme designed to conserve water resources on a regional basis. Multipurpose dams can hold special importance in developing countries, where a single dam may bring significant benefits related to hydroelectric power production, agriculture, development and industrial growth. However, this dam is going to cover the whole lands and homes of the villagers. If their wealth is going to sink in the dam, then the dam will be useless for the inhabitants. While discussing on this issue they asserted that they have visited to the DC (Deputy Commissioner) office for requesting him not to construct and not to work on the very project, which is not going to give beneficial except destruction of them. In conclusion, it is respectfully requested to the provincial and federal governments to restrict this project and let them to live. If the government of Baluchistan wants to construct a dam, then the residents and country will get advantages from the dam instead of compelling someone to abandon their homes..
