QUETTA, (Parliament Times) : An important meeting of the General Body of the Balochistan Editors Council was held in Quetta yesterday. The meeting was attended by the majority of the members and according to the majority opinion the election of a new cabinet of Balochistan Editors Council was started. According to which Major (retd) Nazar Zamrud was elected President, Rizwan Hashmi Senior Vice President, Ali Lahri Vice President, Shakeel Ahmed General Secretary, Naeem Akhtar Joint Secretary and Mir Bahram Baloch Information Secretary, while senior members Zafar Achakzai and Nazir were elected, Election of the Advisory Council comprising Khosa, Ghaffar Langu, Barkat Ali and Salman Mirza also consisted. Addressing the election meeting, the newly elected President Major (retd) Nazar Zamrud thanked the members and expressed his determination that the Balochistan Editors Council, being the most effective representative body of print media in the province, should work between the government and print media to play a role in establishing the best ideal relationship. And, will play every possible role in solving the problems of the accompanying industry. The participants of the meeting welcomed the recent administrative changes in the Information Department.
