Islamabad : Former Pakistan captain and legendary pacer Wasim Akram has named current Pakistan men’s national team captain Babar Azam as the ‘player of century’.
According to details, Wasim Akram named 27 year old Babar as the player of century owing to his consistency and behavior as a player.
“When we talk about Pakistan’s all times greats, Zaheer Abbas, Javed Miandad, Saleem Malik, Inzmam-ul-Haq and Younus Khan come to our minds. But this is the era of Babar Azam” Wasim said, while talking to a foreign newspaper.
Wasim Akram claimed that Babar Azam was the best player of current century as he had many qualities and skills.
Wasim said that he had seen Babar Azam since a long time, and worked with him for three years at Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings.
He said that he likes Babar Azam’s style. “He always focuses on his game and is never satisfied of his performance. That’s the quality of a good leader.” He added.
