Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times): Punjab Arts Council in connection with Iqbal Day organized tableau, Kalam Iqbal
and speech competitions. The special guest of the competitions was Director Arts Council Waqar Ahmed. In Kalam-e-Iqbal's competitions, Rida's took first position, while Maryam Bibi's and Ayesha's took second and third position respectively. The children of Future Foundation School bagged the first position in the tableau competition, while Dar-Us-Salam and Umbreen School
came second and third in tableau competition. In the speech competitions, Ajwa won the first position, Azka Kaleem and Rehab Bibi won second and third position. Prof. Baqir Wasim Qazi, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nafees, Prof. Jalil Akhtar Satti and Prof. Muhammad Azam performed the duties of judges. Speaking on the occasion, Director Arts Council Waqar Ahmed said that by following the intellectual thinking of Allama Iqbal, we can make Pakistan greater. Allama Iqbal's Poetry and philosophy is read and understood in every part of the world. The poet of the East has
always urged Muslims to unite and work together. Waqar Ahmad further said that Iqbal's thoughts on issues like sectarianism, ideological extremism and formation of new collective groups are still a beacon for us today. A large number of students participated in the competitions. A short play was message of Dr Allama Iqbal was presented on the occasion.
