ISLAMABAD, (Parliament Times) : Parliamentary Secretary for National Health Services Regulation and Coordination Dr. Noshin Hamid said that the elements are harmful to health, It is very important to address them. Our government will not be able to compromise on the health of the people in any way. We are committed to bringing health related projects to fruition as soon as possible.
She said this during an important meeting with Sana Ullah Ghumman, General Secretary, Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH). On this occasion, Sana Ullah Ghumman, General Secretary of PANAH said that the priority of the Government and PANAH is to give a healthy life to the people. We need to prevent such factors as they are the cause of life threatening diseases including heart. Smoking is very harmful to human health, which has affected our children as well as adults. The Health Levy Bill has been delayed despite the approval of the Federal Cabinet and the Prime Minister. You are key member of the government,” we request to you that The Levy Bill is an important issue, play your role for its early implementation, the implementation of the Health Levy Bill will reduce diseases, reduce the health burden on the government and also increase revenue.
On this, Dr. Noshin Hamid said that like PANAH the government’s priority is to build a healthy society, I will play my full role in the early implementation of the Health Levy Bill.
