A leader is someone who can see how things can be improved . Leaders can work toward making their vision a reality while putting people first. Just being able to motivate people isn’t enough, leaders need to be empathetic. What is the role of a Political Leadership? Political leadership requires a leader to focus on a country’s long-term betterment, above and beyond any short-term personal gains. Strong political leadership requires a mixture of charm and honesty, and the capacity to evaluate a circumstance and make a judgment based on what will be better for the majority. Above all, leadership in a democratic system needs statesmanship, as compared to just becoming a ‘politician’. Political leaders are vital – they determine the allocation of power and money through governmental policies, establish partnerships with other stakeholders, and make decisions that can have a major effect on a nation’s well-being and its citizens. A person with good political leadership skills will prove to be a successful leader who can easily distinguish between success and failure. A successful leader has a visionary dream and understands how to turn his visions into success stories in the modern world. A political leader should be capable of making the right decision at the right time. Sadly, Pakistan did not get any sincere & honest leader since its independence. After the deaths of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Liaquat Ali Khan, Pakistan did not find any sincere leader. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a great leader but unfortunately he was martyred. Now a new debate has erupted in Pakistan Politics about Bilawal Bhutto Zardari ( Chairman PPP). Some people consider him as the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. Can Bilawal be a good Prime Minister? Let’s take a look at his life and political career. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was born on 21 September 1988. He is the current chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party. He is the son of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto and former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari. He became a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan on 13 August 2018. At the age of 19, Bilawal was catapulted into Pakistani politics and he was appointed the leader of Pakistan Peoples Party just three days after the assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma. On 28 June 2018, PPP, under Bhutto Zardari became the first political party to unveil its election manifesto for the 2018 General Elections. On 13 August 2018, Bhutto Zardari became a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. In his first speech in the parliament on 17 August 2018, he was proud to be elected member of the prestigious house. Journalists, Politicians and people of Pakistan were all praise for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bhutto Zardari after he delivered his maiden speech in the parliament. In his speech, he asked Imran Khan to fulfill his promise of rooting out corruption, resolving water crisis and providing ten million jobs and 5 million houses to the people during his tenure. On this occasion he recalled his martyred mother, “My mother always said that democracy is the best revenge”. The speech received positive reception from both, mainstream and social media, as well as other prominent politicians, and marked a significant moment in Bilawal’s emergence as a politician. He is a strong supporter of women’s empowerment and believes in empowering women and taking them on board in all matters is the sole guarantee of country’s progress. Because of its services and sacrifices PPP is the founder of The 1973 constitution and Eighteenth Amendment of the Constitution of Pakistan. These are the great achievements. So, PPP can be called a true democratic party in terms of its unique menifesto. In 2018 elections the PPP came out with an incredibly detailed manifesto promising a world of opportunity to the nation. It vowed decisive action on water security, poverty alleviation, labour policy reform, energy security, empowerment of women, and enhancement of the rule of law. Undoubtedly, it was a revolutionary menifesto. But unfortuntely, the PPP was not able to form a government in federal. PPP is a true democratic Party. Its sacrifices make it unique from other political parties. The PPP is the only political party that has made many sacrifices for the supremacy of democracy. Benazir Bhutto always said “Democracy is the best revenge,”. Under the leadership of Bilawal, the PPP has emerged as the second largest party in AJK and GB elections. It is the proof of Bilawal’s political maturity. It shows that he is following her great mother Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. Some analysts call Bilawal the next PM of Pakistan. Successful political strategy shows that he can be the next PM of Pakistan.
