Karachi, (Parliament Times) : Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC) has sought a report from Chief Secretary Sindh on non-payment of dues to newspapers. The order was passed by a division bench of the Sindh High Court comprising Chief Justice Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh and Justice Yousuf Ali Syed on Tuesday while hearing a contempt of court petition filed by CPNE. When the hearing began, Dr. Jabbar Khattak, on behalf of CPNE, told the court that despite the clear orders of the court, the advertisement dues had not been paid to the CPNE newspapers. The next hearing was adjourned till September 10, 2021, ordering a detailed report from the Chief Secretary Sindh on the occasion of the next hearing on the appearance of junior officers under the Information Department in the contempt of court hearing and non-compliance with clear court orders. The CPNE was followed by advocates Jamil Raza Zaidi and Muhammad Azhar Faridi while several CPNE members including Dr Jabbar Khattak were present in the court.
