Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : Senior Minister Azad Government of Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan’s brilliant decision; Announcement of non-receipt of salary and petrol from the state exchequer. According to Raja Imtiaz Tahir, spokesperson of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, senior minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan will not take salary from the exchequer and petrol for government vehicles. Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan’s own business group pays crores of rupees monthly to its employees and also pays crores of rupees in taxes to the national exchequer.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has started implementing Prime Minister Imran Khan’s directive not to burden the national exchequer in Azad Kashmir, which is an ideal step. He will continue his services free of charge. Financial discipline will be the hallmark of every sector of an independent government. Neither they will commit financial irregularities and will not allow anyone to do so.
According to the spokesperson, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, a former member of the Punjab government and a member of the provincial cabinet and chair of the Board of Investment, has never received government salary, petrol and other benefits. The spokesperson further said that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan is striving for the success of the PTI government formed in Azad Kashmir. This government will meet the expectations of the people. According to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Azad Kashmir will become an ideal state through good governance.
This is the first time in the 70-year history of Azad Kashmir that a senior minister has decided not to get his salary and petrol. This is an example for other politicians as well.
