    OIC calls for resolution of Kashmir dispute as per UNSC resolutions

    ISLAMABAD:   OIC Human Rights Commission has called for resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
    The call was made at a meeting between Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and a delegation of OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission in Islamabad on Thursday.
    The Commission also emphasized on improving the human rights situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
    The Foreign Secretary apprised the OIC Human Rights Commission delegation of the grave human rights situation in IIOJK. He also briefed them about the legal and human rights aspects of the dispute as well as peace and security in the region.
    The delegation of OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission has been on a visit to Pakistan and Azad Kashmir from fourth to 9th of this month.
