ZHOB: Office bearers of the Contractors Association including Abdul Rauf & Sons Builders, Roshan Brothers Contractors, Appo Contractors, Babar Construction Company, Wadan Enterprises, Munawar Khan, Muhammad Noor & Brothers, Hakeem Khan & Sons, Muhammad Amin KR, Zarif Khan & Sons, Sheikh Essa Khan & Brothers, Gul Mir & Sons and others while addressing a press conference said that only blue eyed contractors are being entertained but the real and deserving contractors are being deprived of their due rights and pushed to the wall. They strongly condemn the repeatedly cancellation of tenders at Municipal Committee being held on August 6th and August 9th.
“It is blatant violation of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Rules. Only the blue-eyed contractors are being entertained but illegal conditions are being imposed for others.” They alleged.
The owners of the construction companies and contractors have appealed to the Secretary Local Government, Director General Local Government, National Accountability Bureau and Anti-Corruption officials to remove the concerns of the contractors and immediately take immediate notice of the PPRA rules violation in the department. “If our demands are not met, the construction company owners and contractors will expand their protest and initiate a protest movement against these excess and injustices,” they warned.
