ISLAMABAD/JEDDAH:    Prime Minister Imran Khan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz have signed an agreement to form Supreme Coordination Council.

A communiqué issued with regard to meeting between Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz said PM met the latter in Jeddah.
PM thanked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for providing opportunity to pay respect at Muqaqmat-e-Muqaddasa during the special days of holy month of Ramazan. He also lauded steps like Green Saudi Arabia and Green Middle East.

The two leaders agreed on enhancing bilateral ties in all the sectors and expressed the resolve to further expand the bilateral historical ties, common values and mutual trust.

PM extended assurance for persistent and abiding support for the sovereignty of Saudi Arab and regional security.

The matters related to boosting Saudi investment and bolstering cooperation in energy sector were discussed.

PM laid special emphasis on enhancing employment opportunities for Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia.

PM praised the steps like Green Saudi Arabia and Green Middle East.

PM also underlined the importance of peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue during his meeting with Saudi Crown Prince. He highlighted Pakistan efforts for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.
PM imran Khan and Saudi crown prince signed agreement on establishment of Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council. Council will provide strategic direction to development of Pak-Saudi relations .
PM hoped the council will play vital role in bolstering bilateral cooperation in all the sectors.

Several agreements and Memorandum of understanding were signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The two countries also signed multiple agreements to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, media, prisoners exchange and others.
Both PM Imran Khan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman witnessed the signing of the agreements inked by the relevant ministers from both sides.
An agreement for the exchange of convicted prisoners was also signed between the two countries besides another agreement to counter the crimes.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia also signed a framework agreement on energy projects besides another one in the field of environmental protection.
