LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced to enhance the minimum monthly wages of workers from 17500 Rupees to 20,000 Rupees on occasion of world labor day.
He announced this while presiding over a high level meeting in Lahore on Saturday.
He held that the PTI government has increased the minimum wage of workers by 5,000 rupees in the last three years..Marriage grant for workers has been increased from 100,000 Rupees to 200,000 Rupees and death grant from 500,000 rupees to 600,000 rupees, he added. .
He pointed out workers have been allotted flats in the labour colonies of Lahore, Nankana Sahib and Multan. Grant of over seven billion rupees under Punjab Workers Welfare Fund is a proof of the government’s labour friendliness, he added. .
He dubbed the labourers as national heroes
