Lahore: The Muslim Council of America, in association with the Pakistan Jamhoori League, has announced to provide free corona vaccine for people in Pakistan. The free corona vaccine campaign will be launched in the backward areas of Lahore in May. According to details, Rana Zaman Saeed, head of Pakistan Jamhoori League, along with Central Secretary General Sohail Ahmed and Information Secretary Zahid Hameed Gondal, while talking to media on Sunday, said that we are thankfull to Muslim Council, an organization working for the rights of Muslims in the United States, which has planned to provide free corona vaccine to protect poor and vulnerable families in Pakistan from a deadly disease like corona with our collaborations. Rana Zaman Saeed said that there is no doubt that the third wave of Corona has become very dangerous and the death of more then 100 people due to Corona in single day is a matter of concern for the entire nation. It is the responsibility of the governments as well as the people that they must avoid going to crowded places and govt should ensure full implementation of corona SOPs, Otherwise, corona conditions in Pakistan may be similar to those of USA and UK and Pakistan cannot afford this situation.Replying to a question, Rana Zaman Saeed said that the steps taken by the federal and Punjab government to prevent corona are commendable but they should focus on corona vaccination not only in cities but also in rural areas of Punjab. The people living there unfortunately do not have access to basic facilities like health so the government should provide corona vaccine to the people of the villages on priority basis By only fulfilling our responsibilities we will be able to defeat corona.
