As fit as a fiddle and a real-estate magnate Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan is best known for being politically active in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In his latest interview to the Journalists, he has shown profound concerns about the independent status of Azad Kashmir. Being a sanguine politician, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab and Senior PTI Leader Mr. Tanveer Ilyas has suited himself in the political engagements of AJK for the PTI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of Imran Khan. He has to strengthen the PTI in AJK before the upcoming elections as directed by the PM of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan. ” There is no difference with Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, we are strengthening the party together”. This was the most highlighted statement of Sardar Tanveer circulating in the media news. Hailing from Azad Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry also belongs to PTI and has served as Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir from 1996 to 2001. After leaving PPP, he is currently working as the PTI president of Azad Kashmir chapter. Acting as ‘Gemini-The Twins’ in AJK, Sardar Tanveer and Barrister Sultan have vowed to stand by the side of Kashmir either in support of the PTI in AJK or against the brutalities committed by the Indian Army in Illegally Occupied Kashmir. In accordance with the political agenda of PTI, it seems like the party is not focused on the ‘Single Territory Objective’ as like PPP and PML-N. It is trying best to merge almost all areas of Pakistan and Kashmir under the shadow of one umbrella. In his reply to the Journalists on a question regarding Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, Mr. Tanveer Ilyas deliberately said that people of Gilgit-Baltistan are raising their voice for their political and fundamental rights. Giving them rights does not make any difference on Kashmir issue. Yes, people may develop their hopes in PTI following after the joining of significant political personalities in PTI. The time would tell what comprehensive agenda and strategy for the development of AJK is brought about by the PM IK.
