Hyderabad: A two-day exhibition of books written by acclaimed writer and educationist Prof. Zulfikar Ali Bhatti got underway at the Central Library of Government College University Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The Vice-Chancellor of Government College University Dr. Naseerudin Sheikh Inaugurated the exhibition. Addressing the gathering the Vice-Chancellor extolled the efforts of Professor Zulfikar Ali Bhatti and said that his books on different subjects of students had made it easier for them to learn. Advising the students present there he said ” Mr. Bhatti is a fountain of knowledge and you must learn from him, his experience has played a vital role in the prosperity of this institute”.
Mr Bhatti an engineer turned educationist has contributed peerlessly in the field of education and literature by authoring more than 200 books on different subjects. He has also written an English to Sindh dictionary so that English learning could be made easy for them.
While talking to this correspondent he said that: He aimed to contribute in the field of literature and to make the process of learning easy for the students who had to experience distress following their textbooks which carried hard content that they were unable to understand.
He further added that; he was still learning from society and his seniors and would keep writing to make things easy for students. Besides writing for students he has also authored a book of poetry in English titled Unshed Tears that has got the attention of literary critics. In this book, his titular poem Unshed Tears is believed to be the longest English poem ever written by any Pakistani poet. Mr. Bhatti has also formed a website Sindhipidia that provides knowledge about the unsung heroes,’ culture and historical sites of Sindh.
Bibliophiles, students, and people hailing from different sheds of life had reached University College Hyderabad to attend the exhibition that would continue for two days.
