MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azad Jammu Kashmir Friday welcomed the reported joint statement by India and Pakistan about the resumption of the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
Welcoming the reported joint statement by the two countries about maintaining the sanctity of the already-reached year-2003 ceasefire agreement, Secretary Information PTI-AJ&K Ershad Mahmud said, while talking to APP on Friday “if sustained, it would provide huge relief to the Kashmiris living under constant fear of cross-firing”.
Likewise, the Kashmir issue deserves urgent attention and political resolve to find a lasting solution according to the aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, Ershad emphatically said.
The PTI AJK leader further said that the prevention of human rights violations in occupied Jammu & Kashmir, demilitarization and space for political activities were a few steps that can create a conducive environment for further developments.
