Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and advisor to the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has said that important political personalities of Azad Kashmir, hailing from different political parties espeically the Muslim League were in in touch with the party (PTI).
“They will join the PTI when at an appropriate time but the leadership will decide who to take and who not”, he said.
“According to Imran Khan’s vision, Azad Kashmir will win the elections”, he added. He said I can contest from any of the three divisions but I have not made any decision yet but I have decided that I will definitely contest from two to three constituencies. Answering questions on Abrar Qureshi’s Gorakh Dhanda, a well-known journalist based in the UK, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that Barrister Sultan is personally a good man and an old politician. We will be happy that he and the old people win the elections and come to the assembly but the political image of Barrister Sultan Mahmood has deteriorated due to the change of parties. Replying to a question from Sardar Atiq about the ceremony, he said that it was a private ceremony with all the politicians of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, including him. Personal relations are not based on politics. Replying to a question about the government of Raja Farooq Haider, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that the government of Pakistan did not try to disturb the independent government. Raja Farooq Haider successfully spent five years. “It could have happened, but it didn’t”, he concluded.
