KARACHI,   (Parliament Times) : Abdul Hadi, President SITE Association of Industry, has thanked the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Petroleum Nadeem Babar for restoring gas to captive power plants of SITE area as per commitment made on 29th January 2021 in a meeting held at Governor House, Karachi. He has also thanked the Governor Sindh Imran Ismail for playing key role in this matter.

In a statement, SAI Chief said that restoration of gas to CPPs is vital for export promotion and to maintain customer’s confidence which will ultimately put the country on the path of economic progress.

“42 CPPs gas connections were disconnected in early January on the grounds of gas shortage, which badly effected industrial production in SITE area. SAPM Nadeem Babar directed to restore all such connections in the presence of Governor Sindh which has been fulfilled”, he pointed out.

Expressing satisfaction over restoration of gas supply and resumption of industrial production, Abdul Hadi said that industries will make best efforts to minimize loss of export orders due to delayed shipments. He stressed the need of uninterrupted gas supply to all industries.
