Climate change is now the biggest threat to world heritage sites, according to a new report from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The IUCN says 83 such places are now at risk from rising temperatures, including the Great Barrier Reef, where ocean heat, acidity and extreme weather have all caused a dramatic drop. For the first time, it has been classified as a “critical” point of view.
