RAWALPINDI,   (Parliament Times) : Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Rawalpindi Capt (retd) Muhammad Shoaib has said that a typhoid vaccination campaign will be launched for two weeks from February 1 in urban areas of Rawalpindi, during which the 1.8 million, 76 thousand and 539 children from nine months up to 15 years of age will be vaccinated against typhoid.

He said this while presiding over a meeting held at the office of Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi regarding the campaign in which officials of Health Department and other concerned departments participated.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Rawalpindi Capt (retd) Muhammad Shoaib said that under the Typhoid Prevention Campaign, children in the cantonment areas of Rawalpindi, Rawal Town, Pothohar Town, Gujar Khan, Kotli Satyan, Kahuta and Murree urban areas will be given injections to protect them from typhoid. He said that 142 fixed teams and 959 mobile teams have been formed for this campaign which will go door to door to inject children from nine months to 15 years of age against typhoid. He asked the citizens to play their role in making the campaign a success till February 15.
