Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Veteran Kashmiri political and social activist Lord Nazir Ahmed while highlighting the sacrifices of Kashmiri nation has said that the day was not far when Kashmiris would achieve the long cherished goal of right to self-determination guaranteed to them by no less an authority than the United Nations.
Lord Ahmed made these views while talking to a delegation, which was led by President INSPAD Dr. Sardar Muhammad Tahir Tabassum here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion Ahmed said that Kashmir issue is an internationally recognized dispute and the dream of peace in the world can never be fulfilled without resolving it in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of Kashmiris. He said that India was pursuing a policy of eradicating minorities.
Lord Ahmed appreciated the performance of INSPAD and assured his full support. INSPAD President Sardar Tahir Tabassum while appreciating Lord Nazir’s contribution towards Kashmir cause said that Lord Ahmed’s struggle for the Kashmir cause is a source of great inspiration. “Lord Ahmed is an effective spokesman of Kashmiris and our national asset”, Tabbasum said.
Other members of the delegation included Orient News Network President Afshin Afzal, Director INSPAD and Chairperson Leaders Alliance of Private Schools Mrs. Kishwar Aqeel, Col (retd) Talha Saeed, Raja Ashfaq Kayani, and Muhammad Talha Zubair.
