Funds for KarachiKarachi , the city of lights received at last the much awaited package of 1.1 trillion after a visit from premier , Imran Khan on Saturday. The package comes at a very delicate time when the Economical hub of the country is facing worst of its disaster. It is a positive initiative of Federal government in collaboration with provincial government. The details of some of the projects of "Karachi Transformation plan" are as under:- 1) Eight sewerage projects of worth Rs. 162.60 billion. 2)Four solid waste management projects amounting Rs. 14.86 billion. 3)Two Water drainage projects
costing Rs. 4.70 billion. 4) Different road repair and construction projects an estimated Rs. 62.30 billion. It is important to mention that these funds have been released after PPP the ruling party of Sindh requested the Federal government when the city received a record rain of 442 mm in august. Usama Cheema Faisalabad Corruption in VarsitySindh University is one of the largest university of Sindh province. Recently, it has 32,000 students enrolled. But it is still facing basic facilities (e.g; potable water, lack of chairs in
classrooms, fans, hostile issues, infrastructure and WiFi connection) due to corruption. Currently, V.C and other staff is charged with corruption of 73 crore which is reason behind bad reputation of varsity. More than 60 departments are being offered by university for Graduation, Masters, M.Phil and Ph.D level. But mostly departments in University are facing shortage of classrooms and management. No proper attention is given to university for its prestige and advancement in today's 21st century of education. Consequently, Students and teachers are facing unbearable situations. Therefore there should be proper probe in varsity. Those involved in corruption should be sent behind bars and be given
vigorous punishment so as to prevent future like-minded acts. Nevertheless, this was an 11th Indian quadcopter shot by our army. Furthermore, the ceasefire violation
has been increasing beyond the Line Of Control, that is trying to target the non-combatants as well.Moosa PanhwarSukkur Conflict of interests? It is an established fact and matter of record that Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government are committed to create a corruption free Pakistan for the posterity, eliminate nepotism, favouritism and “sifarish” culture ensuring merit and transparency in all spheres of life. The PTI federal government has just completed two years of its stipulated five years rule but the people have started taking about the conflict of interests within the ranks and file of the ruling
party. For instance, a federal minister from Lahore holding two portfolios has number of such dubious appointments to his credit such as Chairperson Board of Governors of Alhamra Art Council Lahore, Chairman Central Board of Film Censors, Islamabad, Incharge and Aet Advisors at PNCA’s Shakir Ali. Museum Lahore. Appointment of the incumbent lady Director General of PNCA some months back also leaves much to be desired and is in utter denial of for what people had voted PTI in power. It is appreciable that the NAB Chairman has ordered NAB Rawalpindi.
