Teachers are said to be the custodians of society. They build society with the bricks of sense , awareness and education. Simultaneously, they erase the castles of ego , haughtiness and ignorance with the power of their wisdom . Indeed, it will be pertinent to say that they are monuments of change , progress and prosperity in any society .Its prophetic profession to guide, teach and mentor the people on right track. As Allah says in Quran" indeed, the worst of creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf
and dumb who do not use their brains" . So, by killing the igonrance and ego, one has multiple benefits such as socia , temporal and even in life hereafter. Who else could be credited to have taught the world to muster out nescience, illetracy and ignorance? Yes, its teacher alone behind the progress , innovations and all kind of learning till today. Additionally, all the religions including Islam are of the opinion and teach us to respect teachers but unfortunately, In some societies, teaching is considered very penurious profesion particularly by the propounders and promoters of ignorance. All develope
countries have high respect for the teachers. As in america three categories of people have very exalted status e-g Special people( Handicape), scientists and teachers. In france, no one is given chair to sit in court except teacher. In japan, special permission is required by government in case any teacher is found guilty. In korea , teacher can enjoy every thing just by showing his card as done by our ministers in our country. In pakistan , teachers recieve third degree torture. They are humiliated , degraded and taken down in streets and in roads often charged with water canon, lathi charge and brutally beaten whenever they demand their legal rights. This may be the leading reason of downfall of our society since
we do not respect our teachers. The great example is available as merit is ignored in sindh government by not regularizing IBA Head Teachers, sindh university teachers , iqra university teachers and many other who came through very stringent system of recruitment. Teachers play pivotal role in life making of students. After parents, its teachers who shape lives by educating . In other countries , teachers have an exalted and very elevated rank . Teaching is the parent profesion of all other profesion thus must be respected.
