Thursday, August 27,about 7:00 p.m. the long spell of torrential rain along with the wind and dangerous lighting in the sky frightened every one of us , living here in Karachi. Already, there has been enough havoc caused by heavy monsoon spell. But the last night incident, near Saima square mall ( Johar) Karachi, was horrifying and mind blasting .People were gathered at ( maghrib) time , as usually, to offer Prayer; immediately after they finished Nimaz and Put their hands up for (dua), a innocent child rushed
inside the mosque and loudly shouted, pointing an old person;"Oh father! the square malls' wall has fell down and my brother was also wandering there."After listening his echoing voice, every body left their prayers incomplete and quickly run away towards the wall.By reaching there, nobody could understood the story and were astonished to see an underground place looked as weighed muddy mount. The
nearby people arrived at the incidence place , after observing a huge explosive type sound , which has vibrated the whole ( Gul shan Jamal). At a moment, people helped their own and dug out the place until arrival of rescue officers.Five dead bodies were pulled out ;included four children and one women. The guardains of deceased were mourning at their wounded dead bodies. It was more terrific to see agrandmother on a wheel chair, calling her little child which was not more with her. Soon after information; Pak army , rangers , police and various rescue teams reached the place and commenced their operation. The more dead bodies might have found as the rescue was in process. The initial cause ofincident was told as , the massive rainfall and a slight earthquake.Later we came to know that; neither it
was earthquake nor a massive rain but a burning lighting from sky stroked the wall and it fell down. Technically it seemed a strong reason because the wall was about 80 meters long and 15 feet high. Meanwhile, it fell down in a single frequency. May God rest all of them into peace and bless their families with patience.
