Mujeeb Ali Samo;
This is with certain evidence that since the advent of mankind, man is striving not only for his survival but also for doing his best to improve upon his living standard. During this entire journey, he has got a great deal of experience. These experiences enabled him to plan something for himself as well as for his children. Money is considered to be the most valuable thing these days. It has become a vital aspect of living. It allows us to fulfill our basic needs of life such as food, clothing, shelter, education, and transportation, as well as forcing us to make realistic choices and place a priority on our needs before our wants.
But, it would be utterly wrong conception to spend the money on futile things. That’s what our today’s man doing. By excessive use of money, we not only annihilate ourselves but also push back the economy of our country. We some times, intentionally or unintentionally, become huge target groups for marketers by purchasing a wide variety of products, ranging from cosmetics to cars. We don’t care, even for a single moment that the same money is more needed for the poor class of society. The amount of money which is spent on luxuries seems less important as compared to the amount which we spend to have other basic necessities of life. Our today’s world has become a very difficult place to live in for the poor. It gives hardly any chance to the poor people to survive in their insufficient income. Subsequently, they have to suffer from high prices of daily commodities. They always remain in the lurch. They don’t have sufficient money to fulfill their basic needs of life. But on the other side of the coin, the case is almost the opposite. When we observe the millionaires, they spend money merely by changing their cars every year to the newest models, visiting different countries, etc. This imbalance treatment of money has given birth to social evils. Before spending all of our money wastefully, we need to pay heed to the poor suffering souls who are unable to fill their belly and can not send their children to school. It is incumbent on us that we should spend our money wisely. We should not waste money on unworthy things and also refrain from becoming the miser. We should spend our earnings to fulfill the basic needs and save some money for future unforeseen and some amount of money we spare to spend on the needy. The act of giving is most liked by Allah in this world and is rewarded hereafter. Our act is fair and just that we are helping the helpless. We should be saved because it is not only we, who shall be benefited in the future but it is the asset of the nation. This is the testing time for the rest of mankind that we have been enduring the great loss due to the outbreak of pandemic Covid-19. The world is crippled and accepted the helplessness in the uncertain spread of natural as well as manmade diseases. In this regard, the super-powerful countries’ economic loss is unrecoverable in these times of difficulties. The people are restrained to limited life and live with austerity. Our Prime Minister Imran Khan has openly addressed the nation after and before his election campaign that austerity is his priority. He is modest in his vision and believes that our country is in dire need of strength in all spheres. It may be in the political, social, educational, and health sector side. I have a strong desire that if our prime minister accomplishes his pending works and past promises of austerity and set a precedent for the next governments. Accumulating the money is the need-based but if it is in access. You are not spending for the betterment of the people and getting it out from the reach of the needy and indigent people then I assure you that your accumulated wealth is a cause of your decline in health and spiritual side. You are going to become a heartless, greedy, self-centered, and lonely puppet whom people meet only for wealth. You are status is temporary, the pomp of power is a satisfaction to the eyes only and then at the last unrest in mind and soul when you get older and lose the strength. When you are no more in this world people forget your luxurious and worldly comforts. It shall be called all is lost at the end. But, if an affluent person helps and eases the life of others with his money that he has saved out of his extra expenditure. His life would be more pleasurable and trouble-free. The natural as well as artificial hazards will not affect him. The Lord of this world will help him to come out from all the seen and unseen happenings.
